Clark Abbott is no neophyte musician.
As a professional guitarist he has over 20 years of playing experience. He’s had the privilege of working with many top-notch musicians throughout his career including players like, Bobby Vega (Bo Diddley, Sly And The Family Stone), Steph Burns (Huey Lewis and The News), Ronnie Stewart (President of The Bay Area Blues Society) and blues guitar legend, Alvon Johnson, just to name a few. He has also shared concert bills with bands Eve 6, All American Rejects, and The Matches among many others.
Clark is an original member and guitarist for the band, The Federalists, who in 2009 signed a record deal with Talking House Records. During his time in the band he played the world-famous SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX as well as headlined the iconic San Francisco venue The Great American Music Hall.
In 2012, Clark moved to Los Angeles to attend the world-renowned Musicians Institute (MI). There he studied with the the best players in the industry including highly respected author, instructor, and player Bruce Buckingham, as well as other heavy hitters like Sid Jacobs, Jamie Findlay, and Carl Schroeder.
As a professional songwriter he has written with numerous artists and writers (too many to list). In 2021, Clark signed with L.A. based music publisher, Angry Mob Music Group. His song “Soul Hold” appeared on the mid-season finale for the CW show “All American” that same year. Other original music he’s written has received placements on podcasts and Youtube as well.
Clark is a graduate of The University of California at Berkeley, where he received a degree in American Studies with an emphasis on Popular Culture and Consumer Society.
He continues to write for Angry Mob Music Group and is affiliated with Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI). He and his wife reside in Philadelphia.
